Our Mission:

The mission of Friends of Fayetteville Parks is to aid in the purchase and establishment of new parks, enhance existing parks, create a sense of ownership among residents, and include all the children of Fayetteville in our recreation programs.  We work with the City of Fayetteville, its citizens, and our partners to promote a connection to nature, the stewardship and maintenance of our park system, activity, and wellness among our citizens, gathering and placemaking and the development of resilient natural systems.

Our Principles:

  • Parks go beyond recreation. They have ecological, economic, historic, social, cultural, and public health value.

  • Parks bring people of all backgrounds into public life, connecting communities to civic assets where trust can be formed.

  • Diversity, equity, and inclusion are the foundations of a healthy park system.

  • Intentional and equitable park investments to welcome all people to public spaces.

  • Collaboration and partnerships are essential to bringing parks to life.

  • Dignity, care, and respect for everyone is intentional and central to all work of the FFP.

Or maybe you would like to be a Lifetime friend (BFF), Corporate sponsor or make a special contribution for a park feature — in honor or memory of someone! Perhaps you have land that would be a great addition to our Fayetteville Parks system. FoFP can help you make our park system even better. Reach out to us today!
